The opposite of addiction is connection. At the ROCC, we connect with others who are committed to living a lifestyle of recovery. We do life together. We do recovery together. We support each other in our recovery. We also have peer coaches who not only offer a listening ear with no judgement, but can identify and relate to the struggle and can share the successes that recovery has brought to their lives. We love people back to life and help each other. We fight for those who cannot fight for themselves, until they can ... and then we show them how to fight for others. Recovery is real. There is incredible life beyond addiction... and if a person is not choosing recovery at this time, we have resources to help them get to exactly where they need to go to get the treatment or safety that they deserve with compassion and no judgement.
The ROCC (Recovery Organization of Cherokee County) offers a Peer-led supportive community that supports, nurtures, encourages, and develops sustainable recovery by supporting all pathways in a safe social gathering space through a variety of programs and activities, including support group meetings, peer support coaching, workshops, classes, resource referrals, and a variety of other support services.
-Volunteers only need the link below on the button- you don’t have to register with signup genius, and it only requires a phone number to sign up; providing email is optional.
-All slots are 3 hours, except for overnight 12a-6a.
-Anyone with the login should be able to see who has signed up.
The ROCC provides a safe place or hub, for social gatherings, support group meetings, community workshops, art classes, peer support coaches, and much more for those who desire to live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle of recovery. The opposite of addiction is connection.
Many recovery community organizations have established recovery community centers where educational; advocacy and sober social activities are organized. Peer recovery support services are proving more powerful than ever!
The ROCC is solely supported by the contributions donated by the community. We depend on the businesses and residents of our community to keep our center open. Together we are stronger. Together we can accomplish a healthier County in Cherokee where recovery is REAL!
All of our peer support coaches are CARES / CPS-AD State Certified.
They are happy to meet with you as often as needed by appointment only. Please call us for an appointment or just drop in and hang out!
We offer group meetings that support all pathways to recovery such as:
12 step (AA), All Recovery, S.M.A.R.T. Recovery, Dharma Recovery, Recovery Yoga, and Recovery Art

We offer resources for every support service imaginable for those seeking a healthy recovery lifestyle and crisis referral and assitance.
Some services offered include: professional health insurance assistance and enrollment, professional counseling and referral to treatment through Hopedealers Worldwide, referrals for housing, food and living provisions, employment, funding resources for treament an sober living, transportation, tax filing assistance, treatment placement from incarceration, free tablet distribution with wifi and phone numbers through the federal connectivity program, and much much more.
We offer free high speed wifi, printing, fax, scannning, and computer usage.
Each month we offer an opportunity for our recovery community to serve in a meaningful project serving others in whatever needs may arise in our local community. We love partnering with Rotary Club of Canton and other civic groups to help serve. Dealing hope to others keeps our recovery sustainable!
We have a relaxation room, a "homey" living room setting, and social events where anyone committed to a substance-free lifestyle can hang out, eat and drink in our snack cafe, enjoy a full dinner on Saturdays, relax, nap, read, and connect with others in a safe supportive judgment-free environment.
